Feature Film
The award-winning immersive Germany Museum published its latest project: The 4-minute short film Dating History, starring Damian Hardung (How to Sell Drugs Online Fast, Maxton Hall). The film explores the popular dating venue of museums through the love story of Karima (Cosima Henman) and Felix (Damian Hardung), who dream-travel through various eras of German history. Directed by Julius Gause—as an actor known for Oderbruch and Das Licht—Dating History is his follow-up to his directorial debut Sugar, bringing a unique perspective to this innovative project that highlights Karima’s newfound passion for history.
SUGAR is a feature film that had its world premiere at the RIFFA International Film Festival and its German premiere at the Achtung Berlin Film Festival. A cinema tour across Germany is currently being planned in collaboration with Cinestar Deutschland, ahead of the film’s release on VoD.
In SUGAR, we explore Gen Z’s hook-up culture and the rise of the “sugar daddy” phenomenon. The film is based on real-life experiences of young women in Berlin. The story takes place over the course of one night, as 19-year-old Fiadh navigates Berlin’s nightlife, torn between her sugar daddy Marcel (54) and her boyfriend Micha (20).
RENATA & ANTONIO is a powerful chamber drama about a son confronting his estranged mother over a lifetime of emotional wounds. During one tense afternoon, long-held resentments surface—until Renata reveals she is dying. Set mostly on a quiet terrace, the film explores generational trauma, emotional inheritance, and the fragile hope for reconciliation with sharp dialogue and raw honesty.
