THE TEAM
Gause & Gause GmbH was founded in 2022 by Julius Gause and Andreas Gause. Together with their young team of Berlin-based creatives and film enthusiasts, they continuously take on bold, imaginative projects that often seem impossible to realize.
Julius Gause
Director, Executive Producer
Julius Gause began his film career at the age of 12 as an actor, landing his first lead role at 13 in the ZDF series Frühling. He recently starred in one of the lead roles in the German-American series Oderbruch (CBS), directed by Adolfo Kolmerer—earning him the Best Young Actor Award at the German Film Ball and a nomination for the New Faces Award. He also played a leading role in Tom Tykwer’s feature film Das Licht (Opening Film of the Berlinale, nominated for the German Film Award).

At the same time, Gause began working behind the camera. At 15, he directed the horror short DENIYASHA, which won first prize at the Schiller Shorts Festival and was selected for the German Youth Film Award and the Junge Filmszene Festival.

His production company, Gause & Gause GmbH, is currently in distribution with the feature film SUGAR (supported by Canon Europe), starring Jule Hermann, Michelangelo Fortuzzi, and Oliver Mommsen. The film premiered at the RIFFA International Film Festival and had its German premiere at Achtung Berlin. Julius continues to develop film, series, and commercial projects with Gause & Gause, working with partners such as Bavaria Fiction and ZDF.
Andreas Gause
Line Producer
Andreas Gause is an experienced professional in the field of marketing and business development, with a focus on the event and film industry.

Since March 2024, he has held the position of Director of Global Business Development at Gerriets GmbH, a leading company in stage and event equipment. In this role, he is responsible for international strategic sales as well as the development of new international markets and product lines.
​
Previously, beginning in March 2016, he led the company's entire marketing division from the Berlin office as Head of Marketing and Key Account Management. He managed national and international distribution partners, key accounts, and subsidiaries.

In addition to his work at Gerriets, Andreas Gause is co-founder and line producer at Gause & Gause GmbH, which he founded in 2022 together with Julius Gause, his Son. Gause began his academic career studying forest sciences at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg, completing his degree in 1993.
